The NRA claims Obama wants to do destroy the Second Amendment by performing the actions below. We are here to support these claims (and a few extras) with rock solid evidence such as video of Obama speaking, congressional records, voting records and other forms of documentation. The most reliable indicator of a candidates beliefs is his past actions. Here you will quickly find out that Obama's self proclaimed "respect" for the Second Amendment is nothing but hollow words. But don't believe us, check the facts for yourself:- Ban use of firearms for home defense.
- Pass Federal laws eliminating your Right-to-Carry.
- Ban the manufacture, sale, and possession of handguns.
- Close down 90% of the gun shops in America.
- Ban rifle ammunition commonly used for hunting and sport shooting.
- Ban and confiscate rifles and shotguns commonly used for skeet, trap and hunting.
- Increase federal taxes on guns and ammunition by 500 percent.
- Restore voting rights for five million criminals including those who have been convicted of using a gun to commit a violent crime.
- Expand the semi-auto ban to include millions more firearms.
- Mandate a government-issued license to purchase a firearm.
- Appoint judges to the U.S Supreme Court and Federal Judiciary who share his views on the Second Amendment.

The NRA is taking the wrong tack with this. NOWHERE in the Second Amendment (nor ANYWHERE in any of the founding documents , federalist papers , or various state constitutions with an RKBA) is the term 'sporting' or 'hunting' even mentioned. The 2nd Amendment is about self defense , whether they are local criminals , invading armies , or homegrown tyrants.
There is no specific 'right' to break clays or hunt animals. An AR15 has more social utility in regard to the original intentof the 2nd Amendment than does some overpriced birdgun.
Obama is , of course , VERY wrong on gun rights but the NRA is too soft on the issue as well (except during fundraising drives and election years).
Hmmmm....raising taxes on sale of guns, but at the same time prohibit the sale of guns. That doesn't make much sense now does it. Also, appointing SC justices isn't like picking teammates for Dodgeball, the judge has to die or retire before being replaced. These alarmist If it smells like bullshit, it probably is....
